I have several things to blog about today, but lets start with JAMMING last week. My BROTHER, JAVAN, JETHRO and ME went to jam at an wulu place in TAMPINESE behind the ITE. I didn't even knew there was an ite in tampinese, weird. Anyway, after a long walk, we managed to find the jamming studio. It was in the industrial area behind SAFRA. ( In case you noobs don't know about jamming, its simply a group of people going to a jamming studio, to..erm,play instruments? basically jam lah..) I thought it was quite worth it for 15 smackeroos for an hour and 13 for students. The instruments on the other hand, were super crappy. The drum set sucked, and one of the electric guitars was un-tune-able, so we had to changed that guitar. And the strap for the bass kept falling off. But the amplifiers were quite good. Javan played one of the electric guitars while Jethro played the other. My brother played the bass and I played the drums. I don't really have much experience in drums and don't know much, only a bit of the basics I guess, but I would like to learn though. Anyway, we decided to play the song HOSANNA because the CT TEAM were practicing it recently, and the drums were pretty hard for that song, but it some how worked out. After a few lousy try runs for the whole song, I don't know why we just stopped playing Hosanna and just went on to some other stuff. Only at the last half an hour or so then we went back to Hosanna and decided that since we were jamming, we had to record it. The drumming wasn't excellent, but we just had to make do. Oh yah, when recording, we had to have a singer too, so Javan was the singer. The 2 hours passed and we made our way back home just in time to watch WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY. If I'm not wrong, four of us also went to GYM that week, but..nothing much to blog about gym, because MITCHELL goes there. Okay, the main topic this past few days would of course have to be "AGAINST ALL ODDS", and of course yours truly starred in it. I would have to say its a very good story line written by MARIO, so have to give credit to him. And to all the other cast and crew, I'm sure we all did a wonderful job, although someone dropped a cup while moving the props, but I believe we would all be so kind as to forgive him and let the matter go. It was real nice to see so many newcomers flooding in and ERNEST(super tall guy that used to be in our church) also came, he sat beside the "backstage", where ray and I had the once in a blue moon opportunity to inhabit for a few days. It was quite cool to see Ernest once again, and we were glad that it was him who was sitting there because there was an opening at that area and with him sitting there, we didn't have to worry that the newcomers would see the inside of the "backstage", because he was blocking majority of the opening..so it was good. Being a props man again was fun yet nerve-wrecking. When the couch was at the back, we were able to slack there and just relax. The first few scenes were the most difficult ones. Because had to move a lot of stuff, only until the couch was cleared, then more relieved. Overall I would say its a successful event lah, although I wished those whom I had invited could have come. You must be thinking, " the musical is over, what else is there to post about?" Just bear with me alright, I know this post is pretty long, but you guys are the ones that asked me to post, so I'm giving a long, good and entertaining one, so you shouldn't be complaining, I'm doing all the work. Yesterday was a longgg day. It started with church in the morning(as usual), and after church we had the Christmas skit rehearsal, quite a number of us are acting this time, and I got a pretty interesting role. I wouldn't say its a bad role, after all its quite a common thing, and if it means being able to bring someone to Christ through that role, that would be great. Okay,so after the rehearsal, we slacked around in church for awhile, then went to NATIONAL STADIUM to get ready to watch SINGAPORE VS VIETNAM. Yes, National Stadium hasn't close down, we all got fooled. The match only started around 8 and since church closed at around 3+, we could not stay in church for long, so the great idea popped up in JOEL HOA's head to walk from church to the NATIONAL STADIUM. Since it was still quite early, we just agreed and started walking lor. It was quite sian at first, just normal talking and after awhile, I decided that we should play some of the WHOSE LINE games. And indeed we played. My brother was the host. And JOEL HOA, DARYL, JEREMY, GIDEON and ME were the players. But all five of us didn't play at the same time lah, we played according to the games. It was quite fun lah, although not all the games went as smoothly as it should. EZRA was there too, but he didn't play, he emo. So after awhile more, we finally reached our destination and we rushed to buy the tickets, and after that went to leisure park to have our early dinner at the food court, but right after my dinner I was still hungry(as usual) so decided to go buy some KFC, but the queue stretched to MARS, so no KFC for me. After that, went to arcade for awhile and watched Ezra own Joel at DAYTONA, no competition at all for Ezra. And finally, we went to grab our seats at around 6+. So boring, we played SNAPJACK for awhile but it didn't last. Okay, let's fast forward to the game, I know your eyes are beginning to close. The match started and the atmosphere was just awesome. On my left was Gideon, and on my right, Mitchell. Mitchell really is a noob at soocer, but at least he enjoyed the atmosphere, the kallang wave and the booing at the vietnamese. And at the closing moments of the game, he cheered for Singapore. He keep saying what, "Let the light shine....." Don't know what crap he talking, haha. But at least he enjoyed himself. Quite a lot of us went to watch the match, my BROTHER, JOEL HOA, EZRA, JEREMY, GIDEON, ME, MITCHELL, JUSTIN, AMANDA, ESTEE, UNCLE QUENTIN, UNCLE FELIX, DAVID, DEREK, DARYL, AMOS, JOLENE, JOY, YOGES, RACHEL and Yoges' brother and his friend. There was a lot of pointing of fingers and spamming of vulgarities, there was even a vulgar cheer, it was quite hilarious though, to see almost the whole audience shouting the same cheer. It was very united, in a bad way though. Vietnam scored a crappy goal in the second half. Singapore had so many chances to score, but they suck at finishing. After the match, we decided to go to EUNOS to have supper but those in the cars were stuck in the jam in the CARPARK. We couldn't even get out of the carpark. So when we reached Eunos, David decided it was too late and said that the younger ones had to be home by 12. So we went our seperate ways and for the BEDOK people, we reached home about 11+, super tired, but my brother and I still went to watch BRUCE ALMIGHTY, which was recorded in our new HUB STATION..WOOOHOOOO. But I fell asleep halfway........ Okay, its been a long and not really entertaining post, sorry lah..ideas run out..And a lot of things have been happening this past few days, so brain a bit tired. This post wasn't as entertaining as the past few ones, but if you really pulled through until here, leave a pleasant tag....( If YOU really read until here, that's awesome, cos you just got PUNKED, you just wasted 5 mins reading this, YOU'RE ON MTV's BOILING POINTS!!) |
